The OEM Bakeware Development Process
A practical workflow from brief and tooling review to sampling, approval and production.
A clear development process reduces repeated samples and prevents packaging or compliance questions from appearing too late.
1. Define the commercial brief
Confirm the target market, sales channel, product type, quantity, target timing and packaging level.
2. Lock the technical direction
Define dimensions, metal, thickness, rim, base, coating, color, logo and accessory requirements. Decide whether an existing mold is acceptable.
3. Sample in the right order
For a new project, product geometry should be confirmed before final packaging dimensions. Color and logo samples should be reviewed under consistent lighting and documented.
4. Confirm the validation plan
Agree on dimensional, appearance, function, packaging and documentation checks before production.
5. Approve production references
Keep signed or digitally approved references for product color, logo placement, artwork and packing method.
