Both carbon steel and aluminum appear across professional and consumer bakeware programs. The best choice depends on the product type, forming process, coating, target price, weight expectation and market positioning.
Carbon steel
Carbon steel is widely used for nonstick bakeware such as muffin pans, baking sheets, loaf pans, springform pans and sets. It supports many formed shapes and decorative finishes.
Aluminum
Aluminum is used in selected bakeware and commercial-pan programs where lower weight, heat response or specific forming requirements are important.
Do not choose by material name alone. Compare the complete construction: alloy or steel specification, thickness, rim, reinforcement, coating and finished product weight.
